Check Out Periods & Limitations

All items checked out have a four day grace period. Materials returned after the four day grace period will be charged for the full overdue period

DVDs and Launchpads are checked out for 7 days and can be renewed for an additional week if no one has placed a hold on the title.

All other library materials are checked out for 14 days with up to two renewals if no one has placed a hold on the item.

All materials come with a daily late charge of 10¢ per item. There is a limit of 20 items per card but only three items can be DVDs. Patrons using their library card for the first time are limited to 4 items.

There are book drops at the front and back of the library for the return of library materials during non-business hours.  There will be a processing fee added to the replacement cost of damaged or unreturned item(s). Library cards with charges exceeding $5 will be restricted from checkouts and computer use.

You can place holds requests on books, audio books, and DVD’s by logging into your account. Follow the link to Access Your Account & Library Catalog or through the PCLD app on your devices. If the library owns something, but someone else has checked it out, you can request to get it when it is returned. If the library does not have it, but it is available through another library, the library will attempt to get a copy for you. You can even request some items before the release date. However, the staff is always ready to help you with your request. You will be notified when the item is available for pickup. It will be held for you at the front desk for one week.
