The Director of Development Services is one of 9 department directors that report to the City Manager and oversees 9 employees. The department’s staff administers planning, zoning, variance requests, plans reviews, permit issuance, inspections, neighborhood preservation and animal control. The Development Services Department is responsible for all land use planning matters, including the comprehensive master plan; administration and enforcement of building and safety codes, Coolidge Zoning Code, Sub-Division Code, and City Codes. The Department is also responsible for Economic Development, Historic Preservation and Annexations.
