Courtroom Standards
While your case is proceeding through the Coolidge Municipal Court, please observe the following standards:

No weapons of any kind are allowed in the Courthouse.

No food or drink is allowed in the Courtroom.

All electronic devices (e.g., cellphones, pagers, etc.) must be turned off prior to entering
the Courtroom.

Please sit quietly in the Courtroom whenever Court is in session. The proceedings are
being recorded and background noise may interfere with the quality of the record.

Avoid bringing small children to Court proceedings. If you must, please monitor their
behavior so that they remain quiet at all times. Parents may be asked to leave if a child becomes disruptive.

Under some circumstances, a defendant may be booked into jail immediately after a Court appearance. In such cases, provision should be made in advance for care of children.
- Smoking is prohibited by law in all areas of government buildings. Smoking areas are available outside the Courthouse.
Dress Code
When attending the Coolidge Municipal Courthouse in Pinal County, you are expected to maintain the decorum of the Court. Clothing should be consistent with the seriousness and dignity of the judicial process. It should be constructed and worn in such a manner that is not unduly revealing or offensive.
The following attire is deemed inappropriate for Court appearances:
Hats or head coverings (except those worn for religious purposes)
Bare feet or flip flops
Clothing containing:

Profanity or other types of vulgarities

Depicting Violence or sexual acts

Promoting drugs or alcohol use

Muscle shirts, shirts with sides cut out or tank top t-shirts

Halters, tube tops or bare midriffs
-
Shorts (more than 4 inches above the knee when standing)

Micro- or miniskirts (more than 4 inches above the knee when standing)

Pants that fall below the hips that expose undergarments or bare skin

Gang-related clothing

Any other attire that is deemed inappropriate by the Court
If you do not meet the dress code standards, you should take steps to bring your dress into compliance to avoid possible exclusion from Court proceedings. If you are not in compliance with the Court's Dress Code Standards, you may not be allowed to enter or remain in the Courtroom.
The Judicial Officer presiding over the proceeding will have final authority to determine whether you will be allowed to enter or remain in the Courtroom.
