Contest the Ticket

You may request a hearing to contest the charge(s) in your citation by clicking here to complete and submit a Civil Traffic Hearing Request. You will be provided with the date and time of your hearing by mail or e-mail depending on what you indicate is your preference. You must appear on that date and time to contest your ticket or judgment will automatically be entered against you.

For some traffic violations, a Defendant has the right to attend Defensive Driving School (DDS) pursuant to A.R.S. §28-3392. However, once a defendant elects not to complete DDS and a Civil Traffic Hearing is set, a defendant gives up the right to attend DDS.
