Motorists on State Route 87 between Coolidge and SR 387 should expect alternating overnight lane closures the nights of Wednesday, April 13, and Thursday, April 14, while crews remove the top layer of pavement on three bridges.
Work is scheduled to be completed at mileposts 137.7 (near Toki and Macrae roads), 139.0 (near Curry Road), and 140.6 (near Signal Peak Road) between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. During those hours, motorists may encounter delays of up to 15 minutes.
When the removal is complete, drivers may notice a bump and speed limit reduction at each bridge location.
The new driving surface is scheduled to be installed later in April. Additional notices will be issued when that work is scheduled.
Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
