MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the City of Coolidge Animal Care and Control will promote public safety and animal care through sheltering and disposal of stray and unwanted animals, and the promotion or responsible pet ownership.
This includes the implementation of educational programs in animal welfare, care and population control, and providing residents of the city to live in a community protected from diseased and aggressive animals.

Owner surrender, animal adoptions, bite quarantine, and impound fees should be directed to
Pinal County Animal Care & Control at 520-509-3555.
OWNER SURRENDERS:
Any owner wishing to surrender their pet, must go through Pinal County Animal Care & Control. As we do not operate our own shelter, we contract with Pinal County Animal Care & Control, a no-kill shelter located at 1150 Eleven Mile Corner Rd, Casa Grande, AZ 85194. We are unable to take owner surrenders without written authorization from Pinal County Animal Care & Control.
An owner is defined as ANYONE who keeps, feeds, harbors, maintains, or physically cares for an animal for 6 (six) or more consecutive days. This includes pets that have been brought to a resident by a tenant, family member, friend, etc.
Our officer is happy to work with you on addressing concerns that may be presented when it comes to animal ownership. Our goal is to keep happy and healthy pets in a stable environment, and out of the shelter whenever possible.
COMMUNITY (FERAL) CATS
Cats are viewed as free roaming animals by the State of Arizona. We have a *limited* TNR (trap, neuter, release) program, in collaboration with Pinal County Animal Care & Control. This is conducted monthly, on a first come/first serve basis. It should be noted that this program does NOT permanently remove a community cat from the area. This program is designed to slow the influx of additional community cats through procreation in a limited capacity. We do not offer relocation services of community cats at this time. If wish to sign up for TNR, or you believe you have a community cat in your area that is seriously sick or injured, please email us at: animalcontrolinfo@coolidgeaz.com
When requesting TNR, please include the following information: Name, address, phone number to reach you, and suspected number of community cats in the area. Our officer will reach out to discuss timelines, requirements, and provide general education.
