City of Coolidge requires permits for the following:

Development Services Permits

Accessory Buildings – storage sheds over 200sf and Arizona Rooms
Additions/remodels/tenant improvements to homes and businesses
Carports, Garages
Commercial Landscape Electrical/Plumbing
Concrete sidewalks, ramps, slabs etc., over 30” or more above grade
Demolitions of any structure
Fences and walls - new and replacements, masonry walls, wood fences, chain link
Electrical
Plumbing
Mechanical
Porches, cover patios
Roof – when replacing any wood/OSB
New Home/Manufactured Homes or replacements
New Commercial Businesses or existing structures being retrofitted
Signs – Building mounted and free standing
Solar Energy Systems
Swimming Pools

Public Works

Engineering Permits – Pave/Grade/Trenching/Utilities
Work in the Right of Way

Prior to undertaking any of the above, we recommend that you contact the City’s Development Services staff for instructions regarding property line setbacks and construction standards.

Double fees will be issued for any work done without permits.
