1,000 Book before Kindergarten			One thousand books? That seems like way too many, right? Not at all. It doesn't matter if your child is three, or just three months - there's no better time to start than now! If you read just 1 book a day, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That equals 730 books in two years and 1,095 books in three years. The goal is to work reading aloud into your regular routine and let the magic of stories do the rest. Register online or on the Beanstack app. Families are encouraged to create one account to manage multiple readers in one easy convenient place. Once the account has been created select the reading challenge each reader would like to participate in. It’s Story Time!	Every Wednesday	10:15 AM	Miss Dani hosts exciting & interactive story times. Experience a range of early literacy activities and more for children birth to age 5. Story times help develop critical early literacy skills while nurturing a love of reading.
Dr. Seuss Story Time	March 1	10:15 AM	Come celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday and Read Across America with this special Dr. Seuss Story Time. Listen to his classic children’s stories, complete a Dr. Seuss craft, and have a snack.
Fun Van	Weekly on Thursdays	9:30 AM – 11:00 AM 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM	Fun Van is back with their new sessions beginning March 23. The Fun Van educators are dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and positive experience through their parent and child classes. Join them for a craft, playtime, parent session, and story time. Receive a book to keep as well. Registration is required at www.ajpl.org/funvan.
Babies & Books	March 3, March 17 and March 31	12:00 PM	Recommended for ages 0-2 Babies and Books is a special story time just for your youngest ones. Discover ways to bond, entertain, and start language learning with your baby. Swing in for this exciting new story time. You and your little ones will be introduced to the beauty of language and rhythm through repetition and books.
Storytots	March 6 and March 20		Recommended Ages 3 – 5 Expand your child's development of pre-reading skills and an increased vocabulary. Learn how to use stories, songs, and finger play fun.
Feeling Crafty: Grab & Go	March 13		Pick up a new art or science activity for families. Kits include instructions and all of the supplies needed to make the craft.
Free Dental Screenings with U of A Cooperative Extension First Smile	March 15	10:15 AM	Childhood tooth decay (cavities) is one of the most common preventable diseases. The First Smiles Program provides preventative dental health education and fluoride varnishing to children birth to five.
Free Development Screenings with the U of A Cooperative Extension	March 22	10:15 AM	Are you curious about how your child is doing in meeting developmental milestones? You can receive free sensory and developmental screening for children ages birth to 5 years old. Screening is provided by the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension.
Learn ‘n’ Play	March 27	9:30 AM	Ages 3-6 Connect with other families for the Preschool STEAM program, Learn 'n' Play. Little explorers develop a solid foundation for future learning in the world of STEAM.
