Wastewater Operations
The Wastewater Division is responsible for the operation of 1 million gallons per day “lagoon type” wastewater treatment plant and includes maintenance and repair of approximately 60 miles of wastewater collection lines together with over 1332 manholes; all accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations and requirements. The City sewerage system includes 11 lift stations in conjunction with forced mains, located at the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, east of Safeway, along Vah Ki Inn Road (by the Desert View Apartments), at Heartland, Carter Ranch, McClellan Meadows and Picacho Crossing subdivisions and at the northeast corner of the intersection at Signal Peak Road and Val Vista Road, 3A transfer station at the Lagoons, Farm Effluent Station, Main lift station at the Waste Water plant, and Country Village Lift Station. Services provided by the Wastewater Division include service main locations and responding to customer calls on blockages in mainlines and other related problems to the wastewater collection system, excluding homeowners service line, as the homeowner is responsible for the service line and tap. The Division consists of four permanent employees who possess various levels of certifications in wastewater treatment, wastewater collection systems, water treatment, and/or water distribution systems:
